Mohali admin asked to record FIR after SAD complaint against Kejriwal over music video
The office of Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab on Saturday ordered Mohali administration and police to register an FIR following a complaint filed by Shiromani Akali Dal against AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and its gone on a music video.

SAD leader and lawyer Arshdeep Singh Kler, in a complaint to the electoral commission, raised objection to a video uploaded by the AAP on social media “to defame the image of the SAD and other parties policies in the eyes of the general public. In a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer of Mohali District and the SSP, the office of Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab said that “no party may put objectionable videos targeting particular political leaders on common pseudonyms on the internet” in view of the model code of conduct, which was applied on 8 January. The bureau said the music video had not been approved by the state-level MCMC (Media Certification Oversight Committee). It was brought to the attention of this office on February 18 that this video was posted on internet platforms, which is “an outright violation of rule 4.4.2 (B) OF WHICH (v) of the Code Model Handbook of conduct”, the office mentioned.
“In light of the foregoing, you are hereby requested to register an FIR in accordance with legal requirements,” the letter reads.
