Dan Bice of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that the pay out for the furloughs then Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker illegally imposed on County workers in 2010 has come to $4.5 million. That number includes $829,999 from the interest which was ordered by the Wisconsin Employment Relations Board. Bice also reports that the [...] When Scott Walker was Milwaukee County Executive, he would annually claim a huge deficit, then lay off workers or impose illegal furloughs. Then when that year’s budget numbers were finalized, lo and behold, he’d have a surplus almost to the penny “saved” by the cuts to the workers.
